Messages you might see, and what to do
The exact words CaterKit shows when something is off — and the quick fix for each.
CaterKit puts plain English on the screen instead of technical errors. If you searched for the exact words you saw, this is the page. Here is what each message means and what to do.
"The free plan allows 2 new events a month — upgrade for unlimited." You have hit the free plan’s monthly event cap. Wait for the first of the month, when the count resets, or open Settings, Plan & billing to upgrade.
"The free plan allows 15 recipes — archive one or upgrade." Your recipe book is full on the free plan. Archive a recipe you are not using, or upgrade from Plan & billing.
"No seats left on your plan — add seats or remove a member, then try again." Every seat on your plan is taken. Add seats in Plan & billing, or remove a member you no longer need, then send the invite again.
"This invite has expired — ask for a fresh one." Team invites do not last forever. Ask the owner to send a new one from Settings, Team.
"This invite isn’t valid for your account." The invite went to a different email than the one you signed in with. Sign in with the address it was sent to, or ask the owner to re-send it to your address.
"That event isn’t available anymore — refresh and try again." The event was removed, or it is out of reach on this device. Pull to refresh; if it is gone, it was deleted.
"Your session has expired — sign in again." This one is rare — normally you stay signed in on your device until you sign out yourself. Sign back in with a fresh code — see "Your sign-in code did not arrive" if the code does not show up.
"Too many tries — wait a minute, then try again." You requested codes or saved a little too fast. Wait about a minute; this clears on its own.
"The owner can’t be changed or removed." Every business has exactly one owner, and the owner cannot be deleted or demoted here. To hand a business to someone else, contact support.
See a message about checking your connection and trying again? That is a network hiccup, not lost work — your changes are saved on the device, so get a signal and try once more. For a stuck sync badge or a photo that would not read, see the troubleshooting article; if a sign-in code will not arrive, see "Your sign-in code did not arrive."
